Who we are

Wakefield Athletic JFC is a volunteer-run grassroots junior football club based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. For anything relating to your personal information, contact the club secretary at [email protected].

What we collect through this website

The website's forms collect only what you type into them:

• Enquiry form: your name, email address and message.
• Registration form: parent/guardian name, email, optional phone number, your child's first name, age group and any notes you choose to add. We deliberately do not ask for medical or other sensitive information through the website — coaches collect anything needed securely during formal FA registration.
• Kit order form: parent/guardian name, email, player first name, team, and the items requested.

Form submissions are delivered to the relevant club officials by email and are not stored in a database by this website.

How we use it

Only to run the club: responding to your enquiry, arranging a trial session, completing registration, or fulfilling a kit request. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set marketing or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may use strictly necessary technical cookies for security purposes, and collects aggregate, non-identifying traffic statistics that help us keep the site working.

Children's photographs

We only publish photographs of players where parental consent has been given, and we avoid naming children alongside their images. If a photo of your child appears anywhere on this site or our social media and you'd like it removed, email [email protected] and we will remove it promptly.

Who we share information with

Player registration details are shared with the Football Association and our league as required to register players to play — this is part of formal registration handled by your coach, not this website. Emails sent from our forms are processed by our email delivery provider solely to deliver the message to the club.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and kit requests are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Registration information is kept for the time your child is a member of the club, after which it is deleted in line with FA retention guidance.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you or your child, to correct it, or to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
